Once or twice a year the children will write and perform a play that is based on a moment in history or a novel read in school. The children create all of the scenery and costumes in addition to doing all script writing and acting.

Children choose a country to research and write reports, make traditional foods, costumes and sometimes perform songs or dances from their country. The children display their findings in an open house for parents and friends. International Day is great fun for all.
Children and families meet at the beach to pick up trash and collect shells and other treasures.
The children volunteer at a local charitable organization that feeds homeless people in San Diego. The children prepare dessert for 180 people at school and then bring their goods to serve at the shelter.
Three mornings a week the children meet with an instructor for some child-oriented yoga. Participation is optional.
Students, parents, grandparents, and siblings come together to share food and fun.
